A look back at Perspectives 2016
Last weekend I got to attend the launch of the Connected 2016 at Patchings Art Centre as an exhibitor alongside plenty of other very talented landscape photographers from across the United Kingdom.
As part of this I helped with some documentation on behalf of the organisers Rob and Karen Knight from RK Photographic with the above images from the event.
From top :
1/ The exhibition hall in The Barn , Patchings Art Centre
2/ Woodland Rainbow” – in print , my entry to this year’s exhibition
3/ Prints on display being viewed by a visitor
4/ Rob Knight introduces the event
5/ Vanda Ralevska delivers her speech – the top from an interesting anecdote as to the lengths she went to to make a portrait of someone!
6/Guy Aubertin discusses some fine landscapes he’s put together
7/ Rob Knight plays auctioneer as prints go under the hammer in aid of the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre.
There were also two excellent talks from Vanda Ralevska and Guy Aubertin as they described their journeys and their walks. In particular the talk from Vanda was something I took quite a bit from – emphasizing the importance of following your journey and enjoying the path you are on regardless of where it takes you. I’ve been very involved with my work for a long time and so the talk was something I needed to listen to – thanks again!
