New work : The Framework Big Sleep Out
Back in November I had the opportunity to support the fundraising efforts of the Framework Housing Association through donating a set of images which I made during their Big Sleep Out , held at the astroturf pitches of the Forest Recreation Ground , Nottingham.
The charity works hard to help and support vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness through a variety of outreach services they offer along with managed accommodation.
The images will be used as part of a wider image bank to help them promote next year’s event and the Charity’s activities in general – as well offering participants a record of their participation within the event. I was grateful able to use my expertise in working in very low light to be able to produce vivid images documenting the event.
From a technical point of view I used this as useful practice in working with portable lighting , as well as posing and directing intrigued participants. It was such a rewarding experience to talk them through what I was doing – then see their reactions as I showed them my the final result on the back of the camera , as I shared the magic of my photographic craft with them.
