Light Up A Night Campaign – Nottinghamshire Hospice
Recently I had the opportunity to visit Nottinghamshire Hospice , based in Alexandra Park near Mapperley in Nottingham and donate the above images in aid of their Light Up A Night fundraiser. The hospice has the tagline “adding life to days” and they work with people based in the county with helping those with less than 12 months to live with various activities and pallative care to make sure they make the most of those precious final days.
For the Light Up a Night fundraiser a green xenon floodlight was placed within a lookout tower and various local businesses would sponsor them to switch on the tower for a night . I was more than happy to help their campaign and donate my work so that they would be able to draw attention and promote their images using my expertise in night-time photography. I went on a short tour of the facilities which were very well equipped before making my way up to the tower to have a look and see the room itself , before making my way outside to make the above photographs.
Kind thanks to Rebi and Tasmin at the Hospice for guidance and hot chocolate, and to Shaun Gordon of LeftLion magazine for arranging the opportunity for me and other photographers to help them out. Keep eye peeled , a good chance this will appear in the magazine as part of a larger feature in early 2017!
