Photo of the month July 16′ : We Are The Champions

(Slightly overdue , 15 days is all!)

A lovely moment from the streets of York makes this month’s choice image here where a busker plays “We Are The Champions” , serenading crowds enjoying an evening out along Stonegate. This encapsulates a happy , friendly city with a lot to see and do and it was quite a welcoming sight – with me having arrived in York the evening before.

As for the significance of “We Are The Champions”…?  earlier that afternoon Leicester City were presented with the Premier League trophy which I got to watch in a pub in Fulford… 😉 I did see the busker play the same tune a few days later , so probably one of his regular jaunts – but I found it quite fitting.
